Another One of My Favorite Things!!! Oh My! Have You Heard? #2

Written by Aunt Ruthie on March 16th, 2018

have you heard

Here I am again for another installment of Have You Heard?! This time I’m sharing my favorite Hallmark series, When Calls the Heart! I actually recently discovered it and my hubby and I are really enjoying it! Yes, I said my hubby! He loves it too! It has the same wholesome values and virtues of Litte House on The Prairie and the reason is it’s produced by Michael Landon’s son Michael Landon Jr.!

when calls the heart

This Canadian-American drama is based on the novel When Calls The Heart, and the Canadian West series, authored by Christian writer, Janette Oke. The story is set in  1910 in a western Canadian frontier town called Hope Valley. Each episode is filled with dramatic scenes of faith, hope, and love.

WHEN CALLS THE HEART - TRIALS OF THE HEART Elizabeth and Jack are closer than ever after their first kiss and Jack gains a new understanding of Elizabeth's high-society family life. Elsewhere, Abigail confronts Bill about a shocking discovery that could put their romantic future on hold, and the mining disaster trial takes a surprising turn when a shocking witness is called to the stand. The storyline is endearing and the characters lovable and there’s always a moral to the story where good overcomes evil. There are also a lot of God-moments in the episodes where prayer and faith are expressed.

My hubby and I watch it on Netflix but you can also get the series here.  So far there are 5 seasons and 44 episodes.

There’s even a devotional book that reflects the life lessons of Hope Valley.

And if you become a fan there’s a When Calls the Heart Cookbook too!

Well, if you’re a fan of Little House on the Praire, I think you’re going to love this series! Let me know if you watch it already!

I’m always happy to see good, wholesome shows that are still being produced!
