Howdy! I’m Aunt Ruthie…..also known as Ruth Ann! I’ve been happily married for 30 years to my hubby Gary, and I’m a mama of four wonderful kids….Dusty, Ashley, J.J. and Summer Rose. I’ve also gained a darling daughter-in-law, Kimmy and an equally lovable son-in-law, Glen! The Lord has truly blessed me with a wonderful family, all of whom are serving the Lord!
Three years ago I moved to Southern Missouri (Branson) from living my whole life in California. We built our home on the edge of the Ozark wilderness on an old cattle farm dating back to the Civil War. The cows are gone but we are visited daily by deer, squirrels and wild turkey…oh, and sometimes an armadillo or two. About 2 years ago I began taking violin lessons with my daughter Summer Rose. We are just now starting to learn to play fiddle style. One of my favorite things to do is to sit on my front porch in my red rocking chair sipping sweet tea (with lots of ice) and breathe in the beauty of this glorious place.
Most importantly, I am a Christian. Jesus is the reason for my joy, hope, and peace…He is my Savior, Redeemer, Healer, Provider, Rock, Fortress, and the best friend anyone could ever have. His love for you and me is amazing. Stunning really. Jesus is everything wonderful. He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. No matter what happens in life, because He is my God, I get to go to Heaven some day.
“…as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
I have a passion for the home and family, and want to preserve the old fashioned Ideals our wonderful America was founded upon. It is my joy to nurture my family with a cozy home, filling it with lots of love and laughter! Speaking of my family here are a few photos of my greatest blessings…
This picture was taken about 9 years ago (as you can see by my interesting hair-do! What was I thinkin’?! Of course, 10 years from now I’ll probably say the same thing about my current hair-do!). We went to one of those Shopping Mall photographers, where you can get your pictures in an hour. This was the photographers idea to pile the kids on Dad like they were riding on a sled! Weeeeeeee! We thought it was so funny that we decided to re-create it again…
Little Summer Rose wanted to go for a ride too!
Then the new additions to our family,
Glen and Kimmy, wanted in on the fun! Woo-hoo!
I have to say that my dear hubby Gary was a good sport!
Me and my four wonderful kids!
My adorable girls!
My Amazing boys love their baby sister!
