"I was so delighted when I found this book! Published by Country Living magazine, it has a similar charm as the Farm Chicks Book. There are "501 Old Fashioned Ideas To Simplify Your Life." It's filled with beautiful and charming color photos and chapters such as 'The Home That Welcomes'...'Behind The Scenes'...'In The Kitchen' and 'Harmony' (gardening). This is a must have for every farm-girl at heart! I'm sorry, I just have to say, I love this book so much I want to marry it!"

Pyrex Grip-Rite 9 1/2 Inch Pie Plate

"I want to recommend to you my favorite kind of pan to bake in, the Pyrex Pie Plate! I prefer to use a glass pan (or pie plate) with handles. I like to be able to see through to the crust, to see if it's got that golden brown color that I like. It makes it so much easier to pull the pie in and out of the oven and of course to carry and serve it at the table."

13.25 inch Lodge Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Pan

"This is my all time favorite pan to cook with. Somehow the food tastes better and I love the even heat it produces while cooking. The other thing I love is that you can take it right to the table if you are having a casual- rustic dinner like tacos or Hillbilly Spaghetti Pie...it keeps the food hot for a long time and the extra handle on the end makes it so much easier to pick up and carry.This pan is ready to cook in, no pre-seasoning required. Grilled cheese sandwiches come out crunchy on the outside and gooey-cheese-y on the inside!"

10.25 inch Lodge Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Skillet

"This 10 inch pan is just perfect for baking up a batch of good ol' southern cornbread! For perfect cornbread you start by oiling the pan with vegatable oil, set it on the stove, at medium temp, until hot, then pour the cornbread batter in. Immediately put the pan in a preheated 400 degree oven to bake (about 20 minutes or per your recipe instructions). By putting the batter in a hot pan you insure a crusty outside and a fluffy inside! Have that honey-butter ready!"

Sandra is also an author that does not promote perfection, (life is too short to try to be perfect!) and yet she does not forfeit excellance. She'll give you a little kick-start to make your dream of a clean and tidy home are dream come true!"

Cornbread Stick Cast Iron Pan

"How adorable are cornbread sticks that look like ears of corn? Talk about farmhouse style! Besides being so cute, the corn-sticks are yummy if you like crunchy and chewy cornbread. I have two pans in order to have plenty to go around. This pan is not pre-seasoned, but it does comes with instructions which amounts to oiling the pan and putting it in a hot oven for an hour or so. Once seasoned, you want to be sure to pre-heat the oiled pan in the oven until hot before you pour in the batter to achieve a nice crust. It also helps to pour the batter from a pitcher to fill the pan. The more you use it the more non-stick it will become. This corny-styled pan is over 100 years old! Perfect for a farmhouse supper!"

Farm Style Flour Sack Towels

"Back in the 1800's to the 1950's flour came in cotton sacks. When the flour was used up homemakers would use the fabric for towels, cleaning cloths, bibs, pillow cases, clothes and many more uses! They are a great lint free cloth, perfect for drying dishes, dusting furniture, drying lettuce and veggies after washing, covering rising bread dough to keep it from drying out and protecting your pie from those pesky flies! I have a wooden bucket next to my kitchen sink stacked full of these old fashioned cotton towels...they are a must-have in every farmhouse!"

"Nothing says "Down-home" like a red and white checked tablecloth! I love this one because it's square and will fit any size table when you lay it in the center, on top of a full size white tablecloth, to add a punch of countrified color. This 52 X 52 size is also perfect for lining a picnic basket. Somehow farmhouse fixin's seem to taste better on a red checked tablecloth!"
