rpw6fth(The tree in front of my house)

Well hello Sugar Pie! It’s been too long since I posted last! Goodness! I hope you didn’t forget about me! I sure missed you!  It’s been such a busy summer so far! I was out of town for a couple of weeks, had family from San Francisco come stay with us…was blessed with the birth of my first grand-daughter and just recently welcomed my 3rd adorable grandson into the world! That makes 4 grand-babies! My family-tree is growing!

(About my music player: My music player is no longer in service, but I did find a different one…although I’m not sure I like it. If you want to hear some sweet “baby music” to accompany this post you need to scroll way down to the bottom on the left and click it on. Also if you know of a music player that works well for blogs please let me know about it!)

Let’s rewind back to last December when we found out my son Dusty and Daughter-in-love Kimmy were expecting their second baby… here’s the darling postcard they sent out to friends and family to announce the wonderful news!

When I  think of how I struggled with infertility so many years ago,  I look at these babies now and I’m amazed at the goodness of the Lord! This is proof that God answers prayer and wants to give us the desires of our hearts when we delight in Him. I’m also reminded of the verse “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, but in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.” Proverbs 3:5-6  Back in the day when I wanted a baby so much my heart hurt I would cry at Pampers commercials. If only I knew then what I know now…to trust and have faith!

Well Sugar, that’s the latest wonderful news from The Farmhouse so far this summer! What have you been up to?

P. S. One more thing! Please follow me on Instagram!  I share every-day sort of stuff  from my neck-of-the-woods. You can find me there under @sugarpiefarmhouse.
