Our family had been waiting so patiently for a sweet little boy named Kade to be born.
My first born child, my son Dusty and his beautiful wife Kimmy… in love with each other and with the sweet little blessing sent from Heaven growing inside his mama.
Visions of future fun with this bouncing baby boy brought so much joy as they anticipated his arrival…
Early in the morning on July 20th we got the text message that Kimmy was in labor!
We were so excited! We couldn’t wait to see his sweet little face!
Kade Austin was born healthy and strong! He weighed in at 7 lbs. 7 oz. and was 22 inches long. I was so blessed to be able to watch the birth of my grandson! What an absolute miracle! Kimmy did so great! Thank the Lord, everything went smoothly. Here’s mama and baby, seeing each other for the first time!

One happy little family!
“Hi Kade! I’m your daddy! I love you little buddy!”
Dusty is an amazing father! He changes diapers, and gets up with Kimmy to keep her company when she’s feeding Kade.

Thinking back, when I was a young wife, there was nothing more that I wanted than to be a mama. My hubby and I spent three years trying to concieve. It was such a difficult time emotionally. All of my friends and cousins were having babies but it just was not happening for me. I would get all teary-eyed watching Pampers commercials! I decided to write down God’s Promises in his Word. I prayed those promises. It built up my faith. Everytime I started to feel discouraged I read those promises. I finally conceived, but sadly, I miscarried. But I didn’t give up! Thankfully, just a short time after that, I conceived again…

Dusty was born.…then Ashley…then J.J….the Summer Rose! Praise the Lord! The Lord gave me the desires of my heart…because I delighted in Him…trusted Him…most of all, because He is so gracious and good!
My experience taught me such a valuable lesson…to trust that the Lord has everything all planned out for us. He sees the big picture, we only see what is in front of us. So when things aren’t working out like we want them to, we need to place our situation in His hands and remember that God is working behind the scenes….and in time our prayers will be answered…and God’s plan will be revealed. The Lord answered my prayers better than I could have imagined. Little did I know God was planning to bless me with Dusty, Kimmy, Ashley, Glen, J.J., Tiffany, Summer, Johnny and now Kade! (and more to come I’m sure!) God is good!

The miracles and blessings continue…my son, whom I prayed for, now has a son.
Welcome to our family Kade! We are so happy you belong to us!

Sweet as can be…
so innocent…so fresh from Heaven. Oh honey.
Baby boy and his daddy…they’re gonna be best buds.
A Blessed home.
A good and happy home is made with lots of love, hugs and laughter! Dusty is excited about cheering for his favorite football team–The San Diego Chargers–with Kade. A tradition Dusty has had with his dad since he was a wee little boy.
The feeling a mother has when she cuddles her baby close fills her heart with such incredible love that it almost takes her breath away. She realizes she is holding a treasure from heaven.
“Beautiful as seemed mama’s face, it became incomparably more lovely when she smiled, and seemed to enliven everything about her.” ~ Leo Tolstoy
Kimmy’s mama is “Mi Mi’ to Kade…and what a wonderful Grandmother is she! Every baby should have such a loving, joyful, gentle, prayin’, good cookin’ (and good lookin’) eyes that twinkle, cookie makin’ grandma! What a blessing to know that my grandson’s other grandma loves him to the moon and back as I do! I love being a grandma with her!
