spring d

Hey Sugar Pie!! I’m so glad you’re here! Well, you know I just realized that I didn’t post my Spring decor photos last year on my blog! Instead, I took a video tour of it and put it on YouTube. So while I’m trying to finish up this year’s spring decorating I thought I’d share some spring goodness with you in case you might have missed it.

As always I love a fresh new season to add little bits of joy to the nooks and crannies of my home. Changing things up truly lifts my spirit, inspires me and fills my heart with that delicious domestic feeling.  I go “shopping” in my house and take my old things and move them to different places in my home to give it a fresh new look! Of course, I will sometimes buy something new, usually at T.J. Maxx or Home Goods…I love their discount prices! Sometimes I’ll find something old-timey, chippy and charming at a flea market for a few dollars too. If it’s vintage, farmy and affordable then it’s comin’ home with Mama! Lol!

Some of the things I use to decorate with are quilted heirlooms that have been passed down from past generations like a patchwork quilt made from papa’s old shirts and sister’s flour-sack dresses.

Quilts, straw hats,

sweet tea, birds chirping,

baby chicks, warm sunshine

and fresh flowers
